Udbatta disease - Ephelis oryzae(Sexual stage: Balansia oryzae-sativa) Symptoms appear at the time of panicle emergence. The entire ear head is converted into a straight compact cylindrical black spike like structure since the infected panicle is matted together by the fungal mycelium.
