Distribution and status: India. Regular pest of Andhra Pradesh in India.
Host range: Cashew, sapota, cured tobacco

 

Damage symptoms

The larva bores into the tender cashew apple and feeds on the internal tissue of false fruit.  Attacked apple shrivels and drop.
